FlexCHESS 2026: Flexibility for the European Grid

D5.1 Final Event | 8–12 June 2026

The FlexCHESS consortium is pleased to announce the FlexCHESS 2026: Flexibility for the European Grid – D5.1 Final Event, taking place from 8–12 June 2026 at St Raphael Resort & Marina, Limassol, Cyprus, with a dedicated online session on 10 June 2026, from 12:00 to 13:30 EET.

The final event marks an important milestone for the project, bringing together partners, stakeholders and members of the wider energy community to present the results, tools and lessons learned from three years of work on flexible, connected and interoperable hybrid energy storage systems.

Exhibition Booth | 8–12 June 2026
Throughout the event, the FlexCHESS consortium will host an Exhibition Booth at St Raphael Resort & Marina, where visitors will be able to explore the project’s main outcomes through interactive displays and live demonstrations.

Pilot Site Outcomes | Real data. Real grid. Real impact
Four interactive panels will showcase results from the FlexCHESS demonstration sites, presenting real operational data, key findings and lessons learned from three years of field-testing across Europe.

Digital Twin Live Demonstration | See FlexCHESS in action
Visitors will also have the opportunity to experience the FlexCHESS Digital Twin running live grid flexibility scenarios. The interactive showcase will demonstrate how the VESS optimises distributed hybrid energy storage in real time — from forecasting and flexibility provision to decision support and carbon reduction.

Online Session | 10 June 2026
As part of the broader final event framework, FlexCHESS will also host an online session on 10 June 2026, offering participants the opportunity to follow the project’s key presentations remotely.

The session will cover the project overview, technical results, CHESS architecture, DLT, interoperability, the FlexPlatform, exploitation pathways, commercialisation, IP, replication and follow-on opportunities.
